All inclusive Botswana safari

Going on an all inclusive Botswana safari is an excellent choice because you get to avoid all the stress and hassle of organising different activities and itineraries. However, if you are travelling to Botswana for the first time, you might be wondering what to expect in an all inclusive Botswana safari.

In this article, you are going to learn about all inclusive Botswana safari, what’s not included, Botswana safari packages prices, Botswana safari companies and more.

After learning about this, you will know exactly what to expect from your Botswana safari package and be able to plan accordingly.

This post is all about an all inclusive Botswana safari.

What is an all inclusive Botswana safari?

An all inclusive Botswana safari is what some people call a safari package. This is whereby you bundle up your entire Botswana safari trip into a neat package. That package will include accommodation, all meals, transfers between camps, laundry, and a selection of activities. Not all activities are included though!  we will discuss that later.

I swear by an all inclusive Botswana safari because Botswana safaris are so remote that you wouldn’t want to be organising every single activity and journey. Besides, it will be so challenging and stressful unless you have experience in African travel.

All inclusive Botswana safari: What Exactly to Expect

 Accommodation

Botswana safari package includes luxury accommodation

Botswana safari travellers often wonder what to expect on a safari in Botswana. Well, in terms of accommodation, there will be a range of gorgeous luxury tented camps to budget-friendly mobile camps. The lodge will provide you with a spacious safari tent, complete with big, comfortable beds. The entire set-up screams luxury!

After all, travellers know Botswana for its luxury safari lodges. Natural selection Travel is an expert in this area. They have some of the most stunning safari lodges in Botswana.

All inclusive Botswana safari: Meals

Your safari package includes all meals, which, by the way, will ensure you are well-fed during your safari in Botswana. I am talking three-course meals with snacks in between. Additionally, drinks are included; however, some premium brands may incur an extra cost depending on your safari package.

Safari Activities

All inclusive Botswana holidays are such a smart move because all your activities will be booked and prepared for you. All you have to do is specify what you want and show up. Safari.com and Go2Africa are some of the best experts in the industry in creating bespoke safari trips suited to your special interests.

These activities include game drives, obviously!, boat cruises, mokoro, and walking safaris.

 Transfers

Depending on your Botswana safari itinerary, you might have to move from one camp to another. Your safari package includes transfer costs. However, note that the transfer could be a small charter flight or a safari vehicle.

Although the package includes transfer costs, international flights and Botswana regional flights are usually not included in the package. Be sure to check with your travel agent.

Park and conservation fees

When you book an all inclusive Botswana safari, you don’t have to worry about park fees and conservation fees. Your travel agency will handle the park fees for you, and you can focus on the most important thing: enjoying your African safari.

Laundry

This is an absolute luxury when you are in the middle of nowhere. However, you are in luck; Botswana camps and lodges offer a daily laundry service, and there’s no extra charge.

All inclusive Botswana safari: What’s not included

As contradictory as this might sound, safari companies and tours will not include certain things in the safari package.  It’s nothing major and you can easily add if you prefer; it’s good to know ahead of time.

Spa treatments

Most luxury safari lodges have spa treatments, but you’ll incur an extra cost. For instance, you can expect to pay around USD 40 for a 45-minute massage.

Imported premium spirits

Although your package includes most drinks, it usually excludes some imported premium spirits. For example, I paid USD 10 for a bottle of wine a few years ago, and the wine tasted just fine.

Scenic flights

If you want to see Botswana’s wilderness from an aerial view, please keep in mind that your safari package typically does not include scenic flights. However, camps offer these helicopter flights, which are available from the camp, and you can book in advance or during your stay.

Additionally, the Okavango Delta flights are usually booked separately. However, don’t worry! Your travel company will be helping you with all these bookings.
