I use the Sony RX10 IV, and I highly recommend it because it’s so portable and doesn’t require changing lenses, which is a big plus. After all, events can unfold quickly and unexpectedly in the wild, leaving you no time to change lenses for a great shot.

Although there are still high-quality second-hand cameras for this model, it is apparently no longer being manufactured, so you might not be able to buy a new one.

For example, we went on a game drive in Chobe National Park, where you cannot drive off-road to get close to the animals. In this instance, we could see lions quite far off, and there was no way we could get closer. Had I had a pair of binoculars, I would have had a much better view.
